It thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can adapt to lower light conditions, this may result in slower growth and the plant becoming “leggy” or stretched out. Direct, harsh sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves. An east or west-facing window is often ideal.
Water thoroughly, but allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems, leading to root rot.
