Scindapsus Money Plant

The term “Scindapsus Money Plant” can be a bit confusing, as two different, but related, plants are commonly called “money plant” and have similar appearances:

Epipremnum aureum (Golden Pothos or Devil’s Ivy): This is the most common plant referred to as “money plant” in many parts of the world, particularly in Asia. While it’s in a different genus, it was once classified as Scindapsus aureus, and many people still use the name “Scindapsus” interchangeably.
Scindapsus pictus (Satin Pothos or Silver Pothos): This plant is in the Scindapsus genus and is also a popular houseplant with a similar trailing habit. It is distinguished by its unique, silvery variegation on matte, heart-shaped leaves.
