The most common reason for a plant’s leaves turning yellow is overwatering or a lack of light. If a Bird of Paradise or a Philodendron is turning yellow, it’s often a sign of distress.
Requires a lot of bright light (including some direct sun to encourage flowering) and can be quite a large plant. Generally prefers bright, indirect light and is a great choice for indoor spaces.
Use the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom of the pot, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again.
