Prefers bright, indirect light: This is key for maintaining the vibrant white and green patterns on its leaves. A spot near a window with sheer curtains or a well-lit room is ideal.
Avoid direct sun: Direct sunlight can easily scorch the delicate leaves and cause them to turn brown or yellow.
Tolerates low light: While it can adapt to lower light conditions, the plant’s growth will slow, and the white variegation may become less pronounced, causing the leaves to look more green.
Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry: A good rule of thumb is to check the soil moisture with your finger. Allow the top layer to dry out before you water again.
Avoid overwatering: This is the most common problem for Aglaonemas. Soggy soil can lead to root rot. Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom. Yellowing leaves are often a sign of overwatering.
Trim any yellow or damaged leaves as they appear to help the plant stay fresh and healthy.
